Is that the song with the moaning woman?

I think it is, eoe. I thought somebody more funk-savvy would have given you a definite answer by now, but since they haven't, I just wanted to say that I am pretty sure you are right. In case it was just driving you insane not knowing. Smile

Play These in Your Car & Heads will Turn....Some groups are known for their Funk, but sadly listeners top picks are often the main stream hits ~~
TRY THIS LIST for True Funk......
Bar-Kays: Traffic Jammer, Do it, or She Talks to Me with Her Body
Cameo: Shake your Pants, Flirt, or I Like It
Bootsy Collins: Stretchin' Out, Bootzilla, Roto-Rooter, or Jam Fan
Sly & The Family Stone: In Time, Underdog, or If You Want Me To Stay
Ohio players: FOPP, or O-H-I-O
~~A Song that is a slightly differnent Genre (more Funk/Disco) but will have
you going for the ENTIRE 7:34 of the song is, Its Passion, by The System

@Gala,
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Earth, Wind & Fire and own lots of their music but, they aren't funk. Not by a long shot.

@eoe,
These are two of my favorites:
Dazz band: Let It Whip

and Fantastic Voyage: Lakeside (I love this lead guy - he must be sixty or seventy and he's still going and dancing - I love it- this is my favorite)

@panzade,
Thanks for posting that Panzade- I'd never heard it and I really like it. I'm happy they all still sound ( and look) so good.

I think Mavis Staples has one of the best voices ever -another one by the staples singers :
