I cannot seem to get signed in to Skype on my desktop windows 8.1.
I have it on my ipad and it's not a problem...I used to be able to get it on my desktop computer but, now...I can't. any ideas?

After a recent Skype update it will no longer start up. I get the error msg: Api-ms-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll file is not found. Download is recommended. Due to the pages of fine print they expect me to agree to, I do not want to download and will wait until the next update.
