Good one, Whim.

As for the second puzzle, "1" is not a prime number.

Only thing I can think of so far is....

1, 3, 11, 67, 535...

1 x 2 + 1 = 3

3 x 4 - 1 = 11

11 x 6 + 1 = 67

67 x 8 - 1 = 535
