Settling down by the fire tonight, with a nice hot toddy and some lemons.

Appalled that anyone would set fires in the extreme dry conditions that Dutchy's area is experiencing.

Been to have a look at the fires, still burning but under control, several farm buildings burnt but no loss of life.

Hope you are right Mathos, but if the weather pattern sticks to its normal behaviour, no rain until April mate. Do you know they call our State, "the driest State on the driest Continent in the world"?

I have heard it before Dutchy, yes, those bush fires can be horrendous from what I have seen on TV, thankfully we don't have much of that to deal with in the UK.

Yesterday, 36 degrees, today a mild 25, and tomorow another scorcher of 38C (100F) degrees, that's the pattern from now on. That's nothing compared to the interior where it hit 48 degrees the other day. Will get a blast of it when I travel to Port Lincoln next week to spend X-mas with the family.
