Keep guessing is what I'll have to do about my gift. He surreptitiously said it'd be ready Saturday....
Lalalaing and wondering is there anything that you would like it to be, or does it not matter?

Me-thinks it's a blood-wood (a rare red type of wood found in Africa) carved heart from a professional wood carving artist who is a friend of ours, interesting guy, that one. And yet I digress... I'd LOVE a big (1 carat or so) Emerald cut diamond ring, but unless he's robbed a bank or a stash that I know nothing about, it's not likely. Right now I'm just curious to see what it is. I usually get it out of him, but he's stood his ground well this time!
nervous about just posting an ordinary description.. after all that conversation
openly wondering if we have enough bagels
<PS happy birthday, Dev! :-D>
persuaded that jespah is in a tizz about her parents' visit
quite calm, except when thinking of what the heck it is we're going to do today
<my Dad fixed the fluorescent light in the kitchen and now he's got nothing else to do

>
<he can fix the fluorescent light in my basement any time! Or the broken garden bench, saw 2 inches off the dining table legs or improve the cistern flow in the downstairs loo>
relieved that these young people who SMOKE are leaving in about an hour
sending Dad over (after he's had some breakfast). Next flight okay? He's about 6 feet tall, white hair, clean-shaven, wears glasses, 73 yrs old. I can pack him a lunch.
too good to be true - is he looking for a new partner?
uh, not if my mother has anything to do with it. She may be coming too. Oops, forgot to tell you. :-D
watching and waiting!
I proposed to some fellow the other day because he was house trained. Should I consider no response a definite NO, or perhaps a MAYBE?
x-pecting my folks to about burst with pride (my cousin had a baby girl today; now my folks are great-uncle and great-aunt for the second time) :-D
PS mother and baby are doing fine, etc.

A definite MAYBE, Margo. Those guys are like gold dust...
yearning to have a handyman around the house (possibly 2 days a month)
Zoinks! Clary! Why didn't you say so?! My husband is a professional handyman!! I've been dying for an excuse to come visit (or stay!) Perhaps we could coordinate it with your son's wedding?! We MUST get going on finding a bride! (BTW, which son is it?!)
Agog to find handyman and wedding planner in one couple!!
(Number One Son, Rustom - the youngest Department Head in the Best Hotel in London (as recently voted by some publication called Zagat)

- so quite a catch! Can send a photo if you like!)
Boy, wish I knew an unmarried woman worthy of an English gentleman! Not to brag, but don't forget -in another life a few years back we were a counselor and computer analyst! My how times change.
p.s. Would love to see a pic! I'm always curious to see what my friends and their progeny look like!
curious about Clary's son (just curious. I am married!). :-D
Don't we all like to know about each other?! It's just human nature, don't you think?!
