Love that commercial, and I do remember what he is advertising. It's Travelosity.
What I'm wondering is..what is that cute accent? I know it's a voice over.
He last visited Italy and asked the Thinker by Rodin.
"Don't be silly. It's just a knock knock joke."
Then on to the Statue of David.
My word, moving swiftly along. (his cone hat blocking the obvious)
Ends with "Don't forget your hat"
Brit or Irish?
Travelocity guy...
i'm not sure but to me, it sounds like a british accent!! sry if i'm wrong!
Hey, sparkle. Welcome to A2K. I think it's Brit, but can't be certain.
He is cute, no?
hes a cement lawn statue fer Chrissakes. They sell em all over the South and you paint em .
His mannerisms are Brit. Remember his first commercial and he hurt his whoopsadaisey. Only brits and pa dutch even use that word.
Hey, farmerman. Sooooooo. Let him stand in your yard. Whoosadaisy? Upon my word. Quite and bollox.
Another thing. He looked at Venus and said:
Ah, my darling. No wonder you haven't written.
As a matter of tradition, I don't have one..not ONE lawn ornament.
A young friend of mine told me that Travelosity sucked.
Too bad. The first commercial that I've seen in a while that I really like, (next to the Gecko, that is)
i like the gecko, when he and this guy are drivin along and headboppin to a song on the CD. Both of em have these lame sunglasses.
From Comin' around the mountain to Kung Foooooo fighting.
Still love Ben Franklin doing David Bowie.
and what was the name of the little hairless dog who used to be the mascot for Taco Bell?
"Oh, no! a talking Gecko"
uhoh. Now the gnome has an Aussie accent. CRICKEY!
I think I understand now. The voice over adapts the vernacular of the different places where the travelogue may choose to take us. Wonder if he'll ever do 'Merican English.
