I watch movies on DVDs on my TV set. Sometimes, to make the movie pause, I click the Pause/Still (=) button on the TV manufacturer remote.
The problem is that sometimes there is no response. Is this a problem with the DVD, the remote, etc.?

Have you checked the batteries, in the remote, sometimes they last so long, that we forget that they are there at all?
