@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment, Mark. As you know, I love Marty and I knew everyone of those songs by Carl. Great ones.

Another birthday guy, and here is one of his best:

@edgarblythe,
Daniel Day Lewis also did My Left Foot. Perhaps you will remember that one, Mark.

As you know I never used to like Pat Boone, but Twixt Twelve and Twenty was great.

Here's part of a poem for today.

He's Scottish:

Robert Burns:
But pleasures are like poppies spread,
You sieze the flower, its bloom is shed;
Or like the snow falls in the river,
A moment white--then melts for ever;
Or like the borealis race,
That flit ere you can point their place;
Or like the rainbow's lovely form
Evanishing amid the storm.--
Nae man can tether time or tide;
The hour approaches Tam maun ride;
That hour, o' night's black arch the key-stane,
That dreary hour he mounts his beast in;
And sic a night he taks the road in
As ne'er poor sinner was abroad in.

another fond memory;
When I told my son that grammar was soooo boring. He started calling me
Grammer. Smile

@edgarblythe,
Loved John Denver's You Fill Up My Senses, Mark, and George Burns was great doing all those songs.

What is this nonsense about John being murdered?

Odd, edgar, I found this one by John.

@edgarblythe,
I never heard that song by John either, Mark. I just thought it strange to discover it when I questioned his murder.

Ah, I love Ronnie and Ray doing all those songs, and I knew every on of them.

Saying good afternoon now as I am taking my daughter out to eat.

Sir Elton John:

and, Daniel. (that was about a Vietnam vet) I think Robert was inspired
by it to play for Danny/Dutchy. Smile

Thank you so much, Mark, for keeping III going.

Great having England with us, and Texas of course.

@Letty,
Mixture of politics and Shakespeare. Irish Nationalist Parnell had recently visited America, and there is still a lot of academic debate over whether he had joined Irish Republican Brotherhood.

Malvolio was the victim of a forged letter.

Quote:
Parnellism and Parallel.—Expert examining specimens of
Mr. Parnell's signature, quotes from Twelfth Night, Act ii.,
Scene 5:—

"Malvolio-. By my life, this is Master Parnell's hand: these he his very
C's, his H's, his R's, his L's; and thus makes he his great S's. It is, in
contempt of question, his hand."

Good morning to all from a rather misty morning in our Florida radio station.

Latin George love The Byrds doing The Bells of Rhymney. Yesterday was Duke Ellington's birthday and what a surprise to fin out that he did the instrumental version of Satin Doll. I thought of you and did the lyrics. Now, I'll dedicate it to you, dear friend.

Hurry back, Punch man, and you sent me searching considering Shakespeare:

n the kingdom of Illyria, a nobleman named Orsino lies around listening to music, pining away for the love of Lady Olivia. He cannot have her because she is in mourning for her dead brother and refuses to entertain any proposals of marriage. Meanwhile, off the coast, a storm has caused a terrible shipwreck. A young, aristocratic-born woman named Viola is swept onto the Illyrian shore. Finding herself alone in a strange land, she assumes that her twin brother, Sebastian, has been drowned in the wreck, and tries to figure out what sort of work she can do. A friendly sea captain tells her about Orsino’s courtship of Olivia, and Viola says that she wishes she could go to work in Olivia’s home. But since Lady Olivia refuses to talk with any strangers, Viola decides that she cannot look for work with her. Instead, she decides to disguise herself as a man, taking on the name of Cesario, and goes to work in the household of Duke Orsino.

Always appreciate your bit of wonderful history.

Last evening wasn't as great as I had hoped. It poured the rain and the food that my daughter had was awful at a place where fish is the priority.

Here's a travelogue for today:

and remembering my son in happier times. He had a small bit of hair that we call a rooster tail:

Hope this isn't too long.

@edgarblythe,
Wow! I didn't know that Perry did that one, Mark.

Poor John, Instant Karma and We All Shine On was one that I didn't know by him. Thanks, for the memory.

One more time song, y'all. Odd, I know the melody to the second song but
not the name. Perhaps one of our listeners or contributors will know it.

I like the Indian sitar mixed with flamenco guitar and Cuban brass. It seems absurd but works great.

Welcome back, Mon Ami. Fabulous guitarists playing those songs. Love things in a minor key.

Favor. Check the second part of my previous song and see if you know the name, of it. Gracias!
