Remember, dear friends, we do NOT do the rating system here as it does not match the fornat of our radio station.

Olivier5, I hope you enjoyed Good morning star shine from Oliver.

Julian Stone was good. Didn't know that song, so thanks again for the introduction.

edgar/Mark, Love the band doing Caledonia.

How about Hermits Hermits again.

I once told McTag that he should change his name to MacTag since I found out that MacBeth was Scottish: Smile

Here's are two great excerpts from the play:

@edgarblythe,
Funny, edgar. My late husband and I met Andy at "the lost colony: He was Sir Walter Raleigh". He wasn't very nice, actually.

Here's another funny one:

First an explanation:

The Russians defeated Napoleon Bonaparte by retreating, then Napoleon had to retreat. Arsenic and Old Lace was supposed to be about Napoleon, but actually, Bonaparte died of stomach cancer while in exile:

When I was in my early twenties I read books about Napoleon. Emil Ludwig's biography is the only one I could name now. I was fascinated by him back then.

Some things are just plain weird, even the Victorian readership of Punch finds this Jubilee celebration a bit strange.

Quote:
Some Welsh people
have a good idea of what a Jubilee Memorial
ought to be. This is from the Western
Mail .—

" At a public meeting at Llanwenog, in Cardi-
ganshire, presided over by Mr. T. h. Hughes,
J.P., it has been decided to celebrate Her Majesty's
Jubilee in that district by providing a public hearse
for the parishes of Llanwenog and Llanwnen. The
Chairman, who originated the proposal, was con-
gratulated upon his happy idea, and an Executive
Committee was formed to carry it out."

Good morning from another sunny day in our Florida radio station.

edgar/Mark, Thanks for your comment on Glenn and your personal acknowledgement. Loved Young Love by Sunny. Hurry back dear friend.

Pullman, You are right about that odd celebration in Wales. "a hearse?" Yikes.
You hurry back as well, England.

Two songs for the morning here.
First, one inspired by a TCM movie:
