This is not a song, but a speech given by Leonard Cohen at the Oct 21, 2011 Prince of Asturias Awards in the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias, northern Spain. Cohen had been bestowed a literature ( i.e. poetry) award for a body of work that, in the words of the committee, "influenced three generations around the world". Here is how he thanked them:
