@izzythepush,
Well, Brit, you sent me searching. Love to learn here.

Car boot sales or boot fairs are a form of market in which private individuals come together to sell household and garden goods. They are popular in the United Kingdom, where they are often referred to simply as 'car boots.

Here's a song to match edgar's Shangra La:

@Letty,
More often than not they're called "booties."

@izzythepush,
Ah, booties, Brit. That sounds something like what babies would wear. Love it!

Speaking of Shangra La, I read the book called Lost Horizon, and it sent me searching. Supposedly, people who went there never grew old.

Here's one version of the movie:

Once again, calling all musicians, poets, music lovers, painters and people who like to chat. Where are all of our countries. Good to have our Brit with us today, however.

I don't particularly care for the song, but lets listen anyway, y'all:

@Letty,
Hi Miss Letty, keeping well i hope.
I turn my back for a minute and everything's changed, like a supermarket.

WA2K pt 3, I'm assuming this means no more bumps, oh and no more bumpboys, ahh.

Anywho some music.

@eurocelticyankee,
euroGeorge, Welcome back. We always love to have you here my Irish friend.

Set the Tigers Free by The Villagers was fantastic. Part of a poem:

Tiger, tiger, burning bright in the forest of the night. Did he who made the lamb make thee?

How about a great Bell song by Michael:

Well, Jacob Dylan is a big boy now -
Kirk Douglas is an actor I always liked since I was a kid. After following him on Myspace, I respect the man more than the actor.
Shangri La was a pretty fair film.
Two popular Christmas songs I really don't care for are Jingle Bell Rock and Rocking around the Christmas Tree.

Here is one of my favorite Christmas records of all time:

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Mark. I'm with you on The Jingle Bell Rock. Harry doing I Heard the Bells on Christmas day was good, but not the melody that I remember.

How about another birthday boy:

@Letty,
Liking Harry, Donny & Michael.

My favourite Christmas carol would be Silent Night.
My favourite Christmas song, I'll have to think about that.

@eurocelticyankee,
Ah, my Irish friend, that Celtic version of Silent Night was beautiful. Enya is a great vocalist.

Going to say good afternoon with two wonderful contributions. First a poet: his birthday is today:

This one may be a bit early, but it's wonderful:

Wonderful having Ireland and England with us today.

From Letty with love to all of you here

Good Wodin's Day here in our Florida radio station.

Latin George, The Ben Folder Five was great, and they did go from major to minor unlike my "telling song"

Olivier 5, Welcome back Mon Ami. The French song by Amel Bent was lovely.

What Latin George said, izz with a y. Didn't know that other one by Shakespeare.

Well, y'all, Wodin did his thing here because all the electricity went out.

Two contributions for today. First, the trailer to a movie that was almost the same as the one I watched on TCM.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zEgm5qezVI

Now, a surprise to me:

First, some info:

Arthel Lane "Doc" Watson was a blind American guitarist, songwriter, and singer of bluegrass, folk, country, blues, and gospel music. Watson won seven Grammy awards as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Now, the tribute:
