G.E.M. is a young pop singer from Hong Kong. She performed a powerful version of "Fallin" on live television in China.

"Up on Cripple Creek" -- now there's a song that just automatically plays
itself in my head as soon as I hear the title. I wonder if there's really a
Cripple Creek.

edgar, Liked The Band doing Cripple Creek. Incidentally, my long time friend, I thought you would enjoy the art slide show and The Raven.

Latin George, Yes there is a Cripple Creek in Oklahoma. Check your PM.

Well, here's the first one that I ever heard from Buffy St. Marie, but first some info:

Buffy Sainte-Marie, OC,PhD (born February 20, 1941) is a Canadian-American Cree singer-songwriter, musician, composer, visual artist educator, pacifist, and social activist. Throughout her career in all of these areas, her work has focused on issues of Indigenous peoples of the Americas. Her singing and writing repertoire also includes subjects of love, war, religion, and mysticism.

Saying good afternoon with Buffy:

Morning All.

When our actions do not,
Our fears do make us traitors.

Macbeth Act IV Sc II

From that spring , whence comfort seem'd to come,
Discomfort swells.

Macbeth Act I Sc II.

Birthday, Uncle Jim (remember him?) has had his name crossed out. Now at first I thought it was just a simple error made on the same day, with the same colour ink. On closer inspection I think differently. This Uncle Jim is written in quite a fancy cursive style, the type affected by a young girl who has just learnt to write that way. The previous, (and later) Uncle Jim is a lot more straightforward.

Which begs the question, for how long did Uncle Jim get his card two days late, and what single event prompted the truth to come out. (Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

Good Tuesday morning from a very chilly radio station here in Florida.

edgar, Didn't know Walking in the Sand by the Shangri Las. Thanks for the introduction.

Latin George, we sang Come oh Come Emmanuel as well, but I was surprised at that Latin version. Also a surprise that the two guys who delivered my new stove were Latin as well.

Izz with a y, Had no idea who Uncle Jim is or was. Thanks for the MacBeth quote and the introduction.

Two birthday guys for the morning here:

First, the son of Boy Dylan:

@Letty,
I wouldn't expect you to know anything about someone's name written in a book I bought at a car boot sale.
