@Letty,
Claude Nougaro's "Armstrong" was a cover of Go Down Moses, as you would have noticed. Nougaro refers indirectly to the original in the first few verses, by saying a white man like him finds it hard to sing gospel, for lack of faith in angels.

Excellent tap dancing there. I need to check this guy BoJangles. Learning a lot today. :-)

@Olivier5,
According to dance critic Marshall Stearns, Bill "Robinson's contribution to tap dance is exact and specific. He brought it up on its toes, dancing upright and swinging", giving tap a "…hitherto-unknown lightness and presence."[1]:pp. 186–187 His signature routine was the stair dance, in which Robinson would tap up and down a set of stairs in a rhythmically complex sequence of steps, a routine that he unsuccessfully attempted to patent.

I wish I could say I had, but I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

@George,
Good Saturday morning from here in our radio station.

Jump Little Children was great, dear friend.

I'm having a few problems here; anyone surprised?

First, a funny song:

Now, one that captivated me when I heard it on TV

Hope you will keep our radio going.

@George,
Ah, my Christian friend. So great to have you back with us.

Thanks for your comments and I am having a wee bit of trouble here.
Are you surprised? That song with the whistling was different .

Mott The Hoople song was oddly named.

Well, it's Sunday here, so here are two great ones:

I had a little talk with Jesus and told him all about my troubes.

Hope all my friends here will do the same.

@George,
well, my Latin friend, I need to get out for a while, so I'm going to follow
up with one repeat and maybe another:

First, Go Down Moses. This guy was named after him:

Now, I think it was Olivier5 that started another of this:

@Letty,
Those were two lovely hymns for Sunday.
I had a great Sunday at my cousin's son's graduation party.

A lively one to start this Monday off right.

@George,
Good morning, George and Olivier5.

Ah, my Christian friend, thanks for your comments
and I really enjoyed Aretha doing Peanut Vendor and Bridge Over
Troubled Waters as well as Elton doing Amoreena.

My favorite by my friend from France was Enrico's La Femme. Sorry that I
can't comment on each one,Mon Ami.

@Olivier5,
Not what I would expect of Iggy Pop. Good stuff.

This, on the other hand, is just what I would expect of Sinatra.

@George,
I don't believe in superstition, because doing so brings bad luck. But I like Eddie Floyd. Now listening to the whole album on youtube... :-)
