So long ago, some woman wanted to fight with me because, I blocked her
soccer ball, and she came in to the resting room and asked me:

"Want to fight?"

I told her that I was too much of a lady to fight.

Back later, y'all.

@Letty,
"Glory Days" reminds me of the time I was pitching and took a come-backer in the snoot. I've still got a deviated septum. So much for glory.

@McTag,
Neville Dickie did well by me. I like his style.

Good Sunday morning from here in our Florida radio station.

First a secular song to match McTag's

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mm1wuKvrxAw

Now, a wonderful Christian poem set to music:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOHekLZD5i4

That is supposed to be poem by Paul Robeson called Trees.

Now, a memory of why I named my son David:

Latin George, loved David's Trees as well as The Blue Oyster Cult.

You always make me grin when you talk about pants, etc.Smile

Hope all of these contributions work as my computer is misbehaving.

Once again, calling all. Smile
Latin George, the reason that I played The Holly and the Ivy on a week day,
was to keep Christ in Mas.
How about a great Irish song now. They don't need to worry as there
are no Baptists here.

I recall McTag having told me that Requiem by Robert Louis Stephenson was
inspired by this book:

Requiem for a Dream is a 1978 novel by Hubert Selby, Jr., that concerns four New Yorkers whose lives spiral out of control as they succumb to their addictions.

Now, thinking of a Mid Summer Night's dream. The only one that I
saw starring Mickey Rooney.

This march captivated me:

Back later, (I hope)

Saying good afternoon now with two versions of the same song.

First, the instrumental:

Now, a version with English sub titles:

These are not the lyrics that I remember, however:

@Letty,
"Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" was first sung by the Andrew Sisters in an
Abbott & Costello movie, Buck Privates.

Man, what a voice Robeson had!

Never heard that rendidition of "The Lord is My Shepherd". Very pretty.

@Letty,
"Lord of the Dance" was originally a Shaker song "Simple Gifts".
I enjoy both the versions.

Good morning from here in our Florida radio station.

Latin George, I agree with every comment you made, dear friend. As I once obsverved, I learn a lot from you.

Loved The Stone Ponies doing Sweet Summer Blue and Gold. I had no idea
that Linda Ronstadt was a member of that group.

Today is this lady's birthday:

Another interesting Group:

Here is a wonderful poem by Percy:

The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear --
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.'

I am sorry that our "edgar" is no longer here, but to this day he is
the only one who thanked me for sending him money.

Another interesting memory. Anyone remember Grease?
