@George,
Don't forget, Latin George, we need to comment. Smile

Loved Momotombo by Marlon. Reminded me of Hey mambo, mambo Italiano.

two birthdays now:

First, Sean:

He was still the best James Bond to me.

Now, Billy Ray Cyrus:

@George,
I always read your comments, my long time friend.

While you check out the two that I played before your songs, here's
a tribute to a birthday guy. (no, not Presley. Smile

The Corries' Skye Boat Song was beautiful and melancholy.

I'm not much of a Billy Ray fan, I'm afraid.

@George,
Ah, my long time friend, I appreciate everything you observe here. I just played that Billy boy because he was country and today was his birthday.

I think you and I both like legends, Latin George, and here is an old one.
Today was named after him:

First let me observe again, that JPB and I know that prayer is the soul's
sincerest desire, and all of us here hold that prayer in our hearts for dear
Wandel Gurda.

Here is one that I know my long time friend Latin George will remember at
funnier times.

Back later, y'all.

Well, y'all, I'm back. That Oasis song is what I told Latin George he should be doing instead of the grave yard shift. Smile

saying good afternoon now with a quote and a hymn.

The camel has a single hump;
The dromedary two;
Or else the other way around.
I'm never sure. Are you?

-- Ogden Nash

Now, the hymn:

From Letty with love to everyone here, including me. Smile

@George,
Mine too. I found that on a two cd set from Simon and Garfunkle, and it was so different from anything else they had done I thought there might be some kind of mistake.

@Letty,
When "Midnight at the Oasis" was popular, a girl I was dating thought the lines
And you won't need no camel, no no
When I take you for a ride'

were risqué.

@Letty,
I generally associate "The Holly and the Ivy" with Christmas.
This is a fine rendition of it (even in August).

Good morning, (I hope) from here in our Florida radio station.

Hey, Rog, find that other one and come back with it today.

Latin George, I remember that funny camel reference. Smile

Love, Paris Carnival and Che Carnival, dear friend.

Three oldies for Friday here.

First, Perry:

@Letty,
"It's a Good Day" was written by Peggy Lee and Dave Barbour in 1946.
Perry's version is probably the most popular.

@Letty,
"Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning" reminds me of my seminary days.
Instead of a bugler, we had a brother who flicked the lights on and proclaimed
Benedicamus Domino. And we replied Deo Gratias, but often didn't mean it.
