Good morning a2k radio people. It's muggy and threatening rain, so I picked a song about summer rain.

@edgarblythe,
ah, Mr. Creator, I loved Summer Rain by Johnny Rivers.

Another memory, y'all. When we were in New York, we went to the museum and saw The Spirit of St. Lewis and followed the movie with Jimmy Stewart:

Here he is Reading about his dog.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwGnCIdHQH0

Loved that one about "the jester"

Ah, I really miss all of my friends here, but it's always good to have our creator and Latin George with us. Perhaps more tomorrow.

Saying good afternoon with Billy Joel now:

That's the first one that I ever heard by him.

From Letty with love to all/

Jackie McLean isn't to everyone's taste, but you've got to admire his work
on the tenor sax.

@Letty,
When I hear these lyrics from "My Life"
Closed the shop, sold the house
Bought a ticket to the West Coast
Now he gives them a stand-up routine in L.A.

I think of my friend "Tooch", a New Yorker who moved to LA to live his life
on his own terms. I'll be seeing him again in Chicago this June.

Hurry back, dear friend. I understand about your friend in New York, as I had memories from someone there as well.

Well, Jack isn't exactly one that I enjoy, but I always like introduction to new music performers. Wonder if he is any kin to Don? Smile

Today is Saturday so I think I shall begin the day here in our radio station with three songs. First, one that I sang when I was a kid that made a woman in the audience cry, and made me cry as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2WcoLBuYr8

Now, a poem by Yeats:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN_VPtGfsw0

Now, Hugh. I had no idea that he was British until my friend from England told me. Miss him here:

Always great to see my Texas friend and my Latin friend here.

edgar, Love Johnny Lee doing Cherokee Fiddle as well as George's
Cannonball Adderly. My late husband loved him, happy that you both
enjoyed Yeats' poem.

Here are a couple of songs by ABBA. First my way of saying "thank you"
