Listening to Letty's play of "China Roses".
A good song to wind down to.

But this is all I ever was
And this is all you came across those years ago
Now you go too far
Don't tell me that I've changed because that's not the truth
And now I'm losing you

Good morning from a bright day here in our Florida radio station.

Ah, my dear friend George. You hurry back, and I'm glad you enjoyed China Roses. Your last line "Born to Lose" reminded me of "...and now I'm losing You.."

Loved Ditmas by Munford. Hope you enjoyed Once to Every Man and Nation. I sent that one to you via email.

Well, y'all, another October Fest:

Here's one to match Doris Day"s song "..do do that Voodoo that you do so well.."

Now, a tribute to a birthday man named Bela:

Now, another birthday guy. Timothy West.

First some info on that animal:

Jackal
Animal
The jackal is a small omnivorous mammal of the genus Canis, which also includes the wolf and dog. While the word "jackal" has historically been used for many small canids, in modern use it most common.

Incidentally, y'all, Friends was a TV show of long ago:

How about some history now. The Battle of Little Big Horn.

The Battle of the Little Bighorn, known to Lakota as the Battle of the Greasy Grass, and commonly referred to as Custer's Last Stand, was an armed engagement between combined forces of the Lakota.

Incidentally, Indians were considered red when they put on war paint.

Odd, the people with whom I have the most in common are not here in our Florida radio station.

How about another October fest:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6O4Himch7g

Doris Day is still with us, and this is one of my favorites by her:

Now, an odd one:

I never see the statue of liberty that I don't think of Olivier5

Saying good afternoon now.

History Mysteries:

What happened to the members of the lost colony.

This song reminds me of Sand Piper's Trace where my late husband and I stayed on the island. We met Andy Griffith there and he was NOT a nice man.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IMqRt9Sglc

Here is our poem for today by John Milton:

When I consider how my light is spent,
Ere half my days, in this dark world and wide,
And that one Talent which is death to hide
Lodged with me useless, though my Soul more bent
To serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide;
“Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?”
I fondly ask. But patience, to prevent
That murmur, soon replies, “God doth not need
Either man’s work or his own gifts; who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is Kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o’er Land and Ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait.”

Always good to have Latin George with us as well as my long time friend Tsar.

We'll remember always graduation day. The photo of her in white cap and gown, reminded me of my graduation day.

Now a journey to the place where she disappeared. Sad

@tsarstepan,
ah, my long time friend, loved Fleet Foxes doing Helpless Blues.

a long time ago when my late husband and me were having lunch in some restaurant, someone said:

Your wife's a fox. I thought they meant I looked like an animal. Smile

Anyone remember The Ghost and the Darkness?

From Foxes to Lions:

Another Oct. Fest.
