Now, Into the Mystic:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0DJ8hWgNes

Harmonium - Dixie

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwamxQMefNA

(Harmonium was a 70's Canadian band doing folk music mixed with a bit of jazz and classical music)

@Olivier5,
Mon Ami, welcome back. I thought that you had left again.

Loved Harmonium doing Dixie and thanks for that information.

Well, y'all, it's Sunday here, and I thought of Sidney Poitier, but first some information on him:

Sir Sidney Poitier, KBE, is a Bahamian-American actor, film director, author and diplomat. In 1964, Poitier became the first Bahamian and first African-American to win an Academy Award for Best Actor, for his role in Lilies of the Field

Now, The Lilies:Do

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn6w255CGkk

and, when he was a teacher:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTapoA5RQyo

Don't know why he didn't like the gift of the cup. As I have noted before, there is good and bad and all ethnicity.

Now our secular song for today. Here's a birthday man:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAwQ-fHYnYY

and, y'all, the lyrics:

I hate to see that evening sun go down
I hate to see that evening sun go down
'Cause, my baby, he's gone left this town
Fellin' tomorrow like I feel today
If I'm feelin' tomorrow like I feel today
I'll pack my truck and make my get away
St. Louis woman with her diamond ring
Pulls that man around by her apron string
If it wasn't for powder and her store-bought hair
That man I love wouldn't have gone nowhere, nowhere
I got the St. Louis blues, blue as I can be
That man's got a heart like a rock cast in the sea
Or else he wouldn't have gone so far from me
I love my man like a school boy loves his pie
Like a Kentucky colonel loves his mintn rye
I love my baby till the day I die

I don't usually get into politics, but I was thinking about Jimmy Carter.

His habitat for humanity; he forgave all the draft dodgers and although he got in a bit of trouble wanting to relocate Dylan Thomas to the poets corner it doesn't matter to me, Here's a tribute to him:

Once again calling all. Loved to have different countries here.

Miss you England and Scotland. Miss our tsar as well, but I did hear from Bert Lee and he is doing a bit better.

My Mamma loved gospel music, so here is one of her favorites:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIt9JnPm_uQ

Now, another great secular song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1nj6Yla_Vg

Well, I'm still a Christian, but I no longer go to church. All they want is your time and money. I raised my children in the Presbyterian church and the minister there (twinkle toes) didn't come to my son's memorial service.

This was his name. Smile

Once again, y'all, remembering happier times.

First, Ella. I sang this song in the fifth grade. Smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_PTpcVgdSM

Now remembering my son. When he was very little, he had a sprig of hair
on the top of this head and we called him rooster tail.

Now, the song of a bunch of them:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1QsnQtrKvM

His song:

Three whole nights I've lain awake
For my little rooster's sake
Came the dawn
He was gone
And I thought my heart would break
He had feathers blue and bright
And he crowed with all his might
Send me back my rooster dear.

@tsarstepan,
tsar, my long time friend. It's wonderful to see you here again. Opera Doc was hilarious, especially Bugs Bunny. Smile

Here's a birthday boy that you will enjoy. (and anyone else who is listening)

I really enjoy reggae.
