good Saturday morning from here in our Florida radio station.

Latin George, good to see you with us again. Loved Yo La, The Wheel, and Cool for Cats.

Oops, McTag, I missed your great contribution by Louis Prima. Really enjoyed it. You hurry back, Scotland. Smile

First, two birthday guys for today.

Marty:

Two versions of George Gershwin:

Now, y'all, our poem for today by another birthday guy:

Morning at the Window
T.S. Eliot
HEY are rattling breakfast plates in basement kitchens,
And along the trampled edges of the street
I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids
Sprouting despondently at area gates.

The brown waves of fog toss up to me
Twisted faces from the bottom of the street,
And tear from a passer-by with muddy skirts
An aimless smile that hovers in the air
And vanishes along the level of the roofs

@eurocelticyankee,
Ah, euroGeorge, I'm so glad that you like The Four Freshmen. I loved Leonard Cohen doing Dance Me To the End of Love. It was fantastic. That may have been Al Pacino dancing, but I need to check that out.

For some reason, y'all, I was thinking of James Taylor this morning, and I know that Carole King wrote this song for him.

James, I'm calling your name because my heart has become the north wind.

Any requests from our listeners? While we wait, let's hear two versions of Autumn in New York. What a great time we had there so long ago:

First Louis and Ella:

Well, here's a surprise, y'all.

Latin George is the only Roman Catholic that I know of here, so first one sung by a group of ladies:

Now, Andrea:

I guess we all know that is from Phantom of the Opera.

Good morning to all from our Florida radio station.

euroGeorge, You hurry back dear friend. Loving Her was easier I didn't know, but it was great. Dear Kris. On a Sunday Morning Sidewalk was a goodie as is For The Good Times.

Well, tsar, I knew almost all of those songs. Are you surprised? Smile

Hey, England. Nice to have you back as well. As I have often noted, we all here have so much in common.

Three songs for Monday now:

first, a birthday guy who I really love:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxRyPKYlIsc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRhtJtUDAZs

"whatever will be will be" is so right.

Now, a classical, y'all.

@tsarstepan,
I know Leonard Cohen, of course, but never heard him talk a song. Going Home, was a mystery to me, but it must have been a song about someone who was not a good guy, right? Hope our listeners enjoyed the three songs that I played. If not, it doesn't matter. Stand by Me was a goodie, however.

Well, tsar, You sent me searching because my older sister(RIP) used to sing on that resembles this:

Here he is on Jools Holland, quite upbeat despite the lyrics.
