Okay, last month I gave you the boys that invented California. This is where NASCAR came from.

Good morning from a rather dark and dusky weather here in our Florida radio station.

Roger, welcome back my long time friend, and hurry back as well. Had no idea that Robert doing Thunder Road was the beginning of NASCAR. Were the boys that invented California The Eagles?

Well, y'all, it's Sunday here and this creator notes, Elvis will never die, just as I observed about Nat Cole.

back later dear friends. Smile

Inspired by Latin George, Here's a great song. I became fascinated with Hawaii when I read James Michener's book.

Now, "the singing ranger"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qm6NYz1bHg

I remember The Yitwails via this one as well.

Wasn't there a song called Bang, Bang, My Baby shot me dead? Smile

Here's a birthday guy, y'all.

Now, two versions of a wonderful hymn.

First, The Browns:

Just a reminder to our listeners and contributors. In order to maintain the format of a radio station, we don't use the rating system.

I did Grease last evening because I have BILL they're multiplying. Smile

Going to say good afternoon with Andrea and a beautiful hymn for Sunday.

@Barry The Mod,
Good Monday morning here, my cockney friend. Ah, I love Nat doing The September song and as we have noted he will continue to live through his music.

A couple of songs from our Florida radio station.

First, a famous ranger. Smile

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4qDSvdwL0s

There really was a lone ranger, but he was an Afro American law man.

Now, a birthday guy:

@tsarstepan,
Ah, my long time friend, welcome back. Love If You Please by Leonard, especially the chorus in the background.

Here's one to match, plus another of a sad birthday gal.

Now, Amy:

as I have often observed, alcohol is the worst drug out there and it's available.

Poor Amy

Looking back at happier times now when Tsar wanted poetry for the seasons of A2K. Smile

First, a rolling stone:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwRBcNReYTw

Now, the poem that I wrote:

I said hello to autumn in the glade,
When first I saw the leaves come tumbling down.

Her garments were from changing leaves all made,
And golden rod her bright and shinning crown.

She made a hazy sky with just one look,
And thurned the thistles to a whirling mass.

The ripened apples fell in every nook,
And grapes turned pruple even as she passed.

Well, y'all, we've had our poem for today, how about two versions of the same song.

First, Sting:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLVq0IAzh1A

Now, Celtic woman:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXPqCv9dV6g

I never hear her that I don't think of EuroCelticYankee. Dear EuroGeorge.

well, time for me to say good afternoon now, and I think that I shall do so with two songs.
First, another Irish ballad:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdxLxnhGnvo

Now, Andrea sings the song from The Phantom of the Opera.
(there really was an Eric, but he was born with deformities just as "the boy king")

Great having Tsar, Morgan, and Barry with us. Perhaps Latin George tomorrow.

From Letty with love to everyone here.

@tsarstepan,
I am so happy that someone in Brooklyn likes me. Smile I simply don't understand why someone keeps voting down this III station.

Into the Woods was fabulous, dear tsar. It reminded me a bit of Hansel and Gretel.

Another memory of my sister who took me to see this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9WCV7sCa2k

Now, a birthday guy:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJCeX6VmIUM

and, y'all, The Bee Gees. Love this guy's voice:

There's nothing to understand some people just go on threads and vote everyone down. Some people litter/graffiti and engage in all sorts of pointless activity. Don't give them the satisfaction of letting them know you've noticed.

I played this guy a lot in the car recently.

@izzythepush,
well, my English friend, as I told one of the folks that I met in Cocoa Beach, since I got my master's degree in psychology, I'm interested in why certain people do what they do, but you are spot on, I need to just move on.

You sent me searching, pushman.

Frank Vincent Zappa(December 21, 1940 – December 4, 1993) was an American musician, songwriter, composer, and record and film producer. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa composed rock, jazz, orchestral and musique concrète works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers.

Frank doing Montana was fantastic.

Here are a couple of versions of a golden oldie. First, the instrumental:

now the vocal version:

Another great memory, y'all. When we went to New York and met Art Blakey. Here is the monk man doing the instrumental:

Now, Ella. She had a fantastic range of three octaves:
