@edgarblythe,
Mark, Once again thanks for your comment and personal acknowledgement.

Glad you liked that song from Hair. Didn't know Robert John's Sad Eyes. Lovely but a bit sad, dear friend.

It's Eddie Fisher's birthday, so here is a great trio doing one:

Although the little girl's eyes in the poem were brown, here is one by Willie that goes all blue.

Today is Ian Anderson's birthday, and his concert was the last one that I went to. The Bouree is by Bach

The band is Jethro Tull and Ian plays the flute. Love 'em.

@neko nomad,
ah, my nomad friend, welcome back. Dear Glenn doing Rhinestone Cowboy was fanastic.

The first one that I ever heard by him was this one, and those are flutes in the background.

Welcome back Mon Ami. Love all three of those French songs, but the two that inspired me were Pretty Blonde and Renoir:

After I turn on my computer, it often takes an hour to get it to quit freezing up. Then it takes five to ten minutes to get any youtube to work. Even after that, it takes several minutes to go from one site to another, and it still freezes off and on. So don't expect a lot from me.

Well, Texas, you have a lot there where all your ex's live. Remember, dear friend this is talk radio as well.

Well, y'all, edgar's pc is failing to function and so is my back. Sad

I'm saying good afternoon with two contributions.

First, Christoper Robin:

Good sunny morning from our Florida radio station.

edgar, Love Leonard doing that black bird song. Hurry back, dear friend.

Your bird of black reminded me of "the man in black".

Here's a number of vocalist doing a memory of him:

Now, a birthday man singing two songs.

First, an instrumental. (reminded me of my friend Brucie). <sniff>

Once again, searching our radio station for my long time friends.

I was thinking of The Realm today and came across the Celtic legend:

Here's some info:

Ravens figure heavily in Celtic mythology and legend. They were linked to darkness and death – especially the death of warriors in battle. Celtic war goddesses often took the form of a raven. In “The Dream of Rhonabwy”, the knight Owein battles King Arthur in a dream world assisted by ravens. Some tales suggest that the great King Arthur himself was turned in to a raven upon his death.

Now, the instrumental:

I like Poe's better, however.

Thinking of John of Virginia today. I'm afraid he is no longer with us.

He said that he was the real John boy.

He was a Viet Nam Vet, too. So let's listen to Mary Travis now.

Now, the theme from the Waltons:
