Once again calling all poets, musicians, music lovers and painters.
Well, we've had our poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Let's listen to The Highway men and Judy Collins.

Morning All. Here are today's quotations.
New honours come upon him.
Macbeth Act I Sc III
When maidens sue,
Men give like gods.
Measure For Measure Act I Sc V
Jesters do oft prove prophets.
King Lear Act V Sc III
And as it's now officially winter, and because I'm rather disappointed this hasn't been quoted before I've got something else to add. My mother would spout this all the time, as far as I was concerned it was just another nursery rhyme. Then at school, during assembly, on Shakespeare's birthday, the headmistress asked if anyone knew who Shakespeare was. I put my hand up and quoted the following, and thought nothing of it. At the next parent's evening the headmistress told my mother that in all her years of teaching she'd never been quoted Shakespeare by a six year old.
When icicles hang by the wall
And Dick the shepherd blows his nail,
And Tom bears logs into the hall,
And milk comes frozen home in pail;
When blood is nipt, and ways be foul,
Then nightly sings the staring owl
Tu-whoo!
Tu-whit! tu-whoo! A merry note!
While greasy Joan doth keel the pot.
When all around the wind doth blow,
And coughing drowns the parson's saw,
And birds sit brooding in the snow,
And Marian's nose looks red and raw;
When roasted crabs hiss in the bowl—
Then nightly sings the staring owl
Tu-whoo!
Tu-whit! tu-whoo! A merry note!
While greasy Joan doth keel the pot.
The expression on the headmistress's face must have been priceless, Izzy.
These days, you'd find yourself going viral on youtube
