Good sunny morning from here in our Florida radio station:

Hurry back Latin George. Loved those songs that you played.

You hurry back as well, Mr.Creator. Laverne and Joan were fantastic.

Well, y'all, here are some birthday folks to begin the day.

First Forest:

Now, dear Linda. Had no idea that she had alzheimer's disease.

Now, our poem for today:

Dreams
Langston Hughes, 1902 - 1967

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

@edgarblythe,
Welcome back, Mark, and thanks for your comments and personal acknowledgement.

Love Little Richard doing Send Me Some Lovin'

I just loved the song by Chopin.

some of his art is a bit risque but I don't think you will mind.

Well, folks, I was thinking of Jim Croce today and it reminded of giant gorillas.

Miss you, Dan Lucas.

King Kong, mighty Joe Young and the Yeti are all giants, true. Stories in tabloid magazines and speculative documentaries tell of giant ape like creatures nine feet tall killing deer in Alaska and frightening travelers in Tibet

I think most of us know about the movie King Kong, but here's another
that my daughter and I watched on TCM last evening:

@edgarblythe,
I understand what you mean, Mark. Been having problems in our Florida radio station as well.

A funny memory about Vaughn Monroe. When my late husband was a DJ, he was discussing some of Nat Cole's intonation problems and someone called on the telephone and said: Yeah, and he sings mush mouth like Vaughn Monroe, too.Smile

Here's one by these three sisters that matches your tico:

Well, y'all, it's Wodin's day so I think that I'll say good afternoon with three songs:

First, Lefty, and I think that most of us know he's talking about the woman who
put a flower on Rudolph Valentino's grave. He died at age 31.

Now, the two versions of Blood and Sand:

Latin George, hurry back. Always love your late night songs.

edgar, Thanks for your comment, and more synchronicity, my friend. So long ago when Walter downloaded my granduation photo, Region said Hubba Hubba, and someone else popped in with that Perry Como song. Loved it.

Here's an interesting golden oldie for the morning here:
