@tsarstepan,
Ah, tsar my long time friend. Good to see you back here and you sent me searching:

phosphorescence
light emitted by a substance without combustion or perceptible heat.

When I was a kid, I used to swim pretending I was a mermaid.

Wonderful song by them.

Here's one by dear Bobby:

@edgarblythe,
Thanks again for your comment and personal acknowledgement, Mark.

I know Ramblin Jack's song, especially the sacred version.

Here's another tramp, but first some info:

Richard St John Harris was an Irish actor, singer, theatrical producer, film director and writer. He appeared on stage and in many films, appearing as Frank Machin in This Sporting Life, and King Arthur.

More Jubilee stuff. Eton is as top public school, if not the top public school. Recent alumni include our prime minister David Cameron and Princes William and Harry. Perhaps our own George can help with the translation.

Quote:
Splendid "sight. Guard of " 2nd Bucks'" all " 1st Swells."

Rector of Upton-cum-Chaffey read a comic address. At every
joke, roars of artillery.

The Eton Boys lighted up torchers, and executed figures. The
figures were unhurt. The Queen suffered torchers in the Home
Park. In spite of this, the celebration of the Day After The Fair
was a great success. "Yes, itWarre." Inclosed is the real
Jubilee Ode, only rejected because it came late :-

Jubilee Regina,

Salve! Etonenses,
Salve! Cunctae Formae

Sexta (Salve !) ad primam
Te salutant forte,

Jubilee Regina!
Iterum canemus,

Pueri loyales,
Iterum vocantes,

Jubilem Reginam
Pueri Etonenses,

Te nos apellamus.

Salve! Salve! Salve!

Jubilee Regina!
Una voce chorum

Fortiter canamus.
Salve! : Salve ! Salve!

Jubilee Regina
Ibimus domum

Non uos dum videtur
Splendida et Aurora.

Jubilee Regina!
Iterum canemus,

J ubilee Regina!

Ego Tommy scripsi, and I don't know why it wasn't sung. Id
erat justum ut bonum ut illud alteri chappi. Salve!

Good afternoon. I had been trying my computer with Linux, I think it's called, today. Turns out it doesn't have flash player, so youtube was silent for me. I shifted back to Internet Explorer a little bit ago.

Good evening, WA2K and welcome to the Graveyard Shift.

The Lovely Bride, my son Rhys and I were at the Montreal Jazz Festival.
There are shows going on from 11 AM on. The indoor venues require tickets,
but the outdoor shows are free. Cheapskates that we are, we took in the
outdoor shows. Of the acts that I saw, these guys were my favorites.

Good morning from a lovely day here in our Florida radio station.

edgar, I agree with you about the song Lucky Old Sun. I just thought it odd that Jerry Lee did it.

Loved Ken doing Wyatt Earp and Johnny doing When Sunny Gets Blue.

Latin George that Dixieland jaza was great. I never hear you mention your lovely bride that I don't think of this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8ScHTQ5uMs

I did that one on stage sometime back.

Now, a birthday man, but here is a brief intro for our listeners and contributors:

Toby Keith Covel (born July 8, 1961), best known as Toby Keith, is an American country music singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7eKJzKLVaY

He also did this one as a cover of James Taylor and Carly Simon.

Hope this works, y'all. Having a few problems here.

Sad about Natalie Wood. Here family still thinks she was murdered.

Quote:
NOTE AT THE GUILDHALL.--Now we know what the City Marshal has to do. We saw him in his warlike costume, bareheaded, marshalling the carriages of
the Great Personages on their departure, and capitally he did it. Not a
single name was pronounced incorrectly. Everybody came up to time, and
got away comfortably. On these occasions, the City Marshal is a sort of
Glorified Linkman.

Quote:
The origin of the City Marshal can be found in letters patent of Queen Elizabeth I dated 1595 which gave powers to a marshal to maintain order in the City.

Subsequently, an Under-Marshal was appointed along with six Marshalmen. All were provided with horses. With the passing of the Police Acts of 1829 and 1839, many of the policing duties were removed from the marshals. Nevertheless, the City Marshal is still the Lord Mayor’s peacekeeper. As such he ‘clears the way’ by the marshalling of civic processions ‘and calls the names of the members thereof in their proper order.’ He also represents the Lord Mayor at all Entry of Troops. He challenges, then escorts those regiments (seven in 2008) honoured to be allowed to exercise their privilege to march through the City ‘with drums beating, bayonets fixed and colours flying.’

Izz with a y, Why did they call Elizabeth I the virgin queen? That's where Virginia got its name. Always enjoy your info on royalty, dear friend.
