@George,
Latin George, Get to Gittin' was funny and enjoyable. Glad you like what we play here, dear friend.

How about a little blue grass country now. Here's Allison:

@George,
Loved Arkansas Traveler by Norman, and it reminded me of this one that I sang so long ago. I was wearing a black net type dress with imbedded silver chips:

The column of air here is terrible, y'all, so I'm saying good afternoon with two songs.

Lead Kindly Light, and here is some info on this hymn:

Lead, Kindly Light is a hymn with words written in 1833 by John Henry Newman as a poem titled "the Pillar of Cloud". In some hymnals, one may find a fourth verse added by Edward H Bickersteth Jr, Bishop of Exeter.

Now, Ave Maria. (edgar likes this one)

Great having England with us. Perhaps more countries tomorrow.

From Letty with love to the world

I consider Ave Maria as perfect a song as any written.

Here are two versions of a song, both by the same artist. One nicely sung, the other for laughs.

Well, y'all, it's a sunny Monday here.

edgar, Thanks for your comment and I love both of those versions of The Drummer and the Cook by Harry.

Latin George, you are the only George here now. So glad you are, dear friend. My favorite by you was The Beer Barrel Polka. Smile

edgar, What a fantastic picture of Steve and Suzamme. Wish I could do photos.
Love Portrait of My Love by Steve. (especially with the long A )

Neko, Welcome back and as you know, I love The Monkees.

Hurry back Izz with a y. Loved your satire on King Edward III.

Sorry if I misse anyone here but as I noted last evening, that column of air still exists.

Two songs now. As edgar knows I love Hoagy

and, y'all, two birthday guys. first some info:

Slim Pickens (I) (1919–1983)
Actor | Soundtrack | Writer
Slim Pickens spent the early part of his career as a real cowboy and the latter part playing cowboys, and he is best remembered for a single "cowboy" image: that of bomber pilot Maj. "King" Kong waving his cowboy hat rodeo-style as he rides a nuclear bomb onto its target in the great black comedy Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and love the bomb.

@George,
Latin George, didn't you at one time that you were going to move to Carolina?

Here's dear Al singing about it. I was first introduced to him when my older sister took me to Larry Parks' Jolson sings again. Another black lister by Eugene McCarthy. grrrrrr.

I once said that I had read all of Rudyard Kiplings' Jungle books.

Two songs now:
