@edgarblythe,
Thanks for your comment and personal acknowledgement, dear friend.

My word, I had no idea that "the king" did Paralyzed. Thanks for the memory.

Speaking of which, here is another surprise and memory:

While we await our creator's comment with a smile, here are two more surprises:

About those Queens:

The Gypsy Queens is a French pop band, originating from Nice and signed to London Records. The original five-piece band consists of Didier Casnati, Jason King and Anders Klunderud, Jay Metcalf and Manuelext poem.

I guess we all know that Carole King wrote that one for James Taylor

@Letty,
That was funny. Didn't know them.

Let the Gipsy Kings (also from southern France, Montpellier to be precise) answer yours with a flamenco version of Hotel California:

I have grown to like Mellencamp. Used to be I ignored him.
Letty's music reminds me of a song by Booker T.

Olivier5, Loved that version of The Hotel California.

edgar/Mark, Gotta Serve Somebody was a great one. I remember Booker T Washington, buddy.

Going to say good afternoon with three songs.

First, Sam Cooke:

Now, another golden oldie:

and, y'all, faith in things unseen:

@edgarblythe,
I liked him at first, like 30 years ago when he still called himself "Cougar". Then found his tunes to be always the same and interest dropped. He released a new album a few months ago which I listened to today, with that tune I posted. Still got a great voice and heartfelt lyrics.

Couldn't hear Gotta Serve Somebody from here. That's a cover of the Dylan song?

@Olivier5,
That's a cover of the Dylan song, but not the version I wanted. Booker T does an instrumental there, but he has another one where he sings the words.

Not the most favourable of book reviews. However, it's still available on Amazon for $49.95
http://www.amazon.com/Andrew-White-Tuer/e/B00JNCETIK

Quote:
The First Year of a Silken Reign, by Messrs. Tuer and Fagan,
would be an interesting book at any time, and is specially so for this
Jubilee Tear. The illustrations are most valuable for reference, and
the hungriest student will own that rarely has he come across such
platefuls of excellent material. Taking the pabulum served with
these plates, the work results in "a dish to set before a Queen"—
and her loving subjects. _

Good SUNday morning from our Florida radio station.

Latin George, Rainbow of Love by the Crystal River Boys was fantastic. Hurry back dear friend.

Izz with a y, The name of that book was breath-taking. It reminded me of this nursery rhyme:

sing a song of sixpence,
a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds,
Backed in a pie.
When the pie was open,
The birds began to sing.
Wasn't that a dainty dish
To set before the queen.

Cat Stevens, now:

and one of my favorite singers, with another of one I like. It's Tom's birthday:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOXLgBmvJNo

Our poem for today by a birthday guy:

I hop scotch over to you
Rainbows arch from ground to gold
I climb over to you
Thunder grumbles, lightning tumbles
And I bounce over to you
Sun beams back and catches me
Smiling over at you

Now, a lovely hymn by The Irish Tenors:

Bet our edgar will like this one, y'all.

Yes, I like Dolly doing that. And I think Return to me is one of my top favorite Dean Martin songs. I just now thought about a comedy movie that had a college dean called Dean Martin.
