Well, y'all, today is Ezio Pinza's birthday. Anyone remember South Pacific?

Fantastic singer:

Now, a great one:

Hope this works. My pc isn't misbehaving, but the internet is. Sad

We did have fun with the pun: "Sam and Janet" evening. Smile

Emmylou is a bit of a rebel. She does songs any way she feels like.

@edgarblythe,
well, edgar/mark, everything must be interpreted in the light of the setting event, I reckon. I look back in funnier time as well. When I lost all that weigh, my late husband called us: "bony and Clod." Smile

Ask Me No Questions I'll Tell you no Lies was good with the Andrew Sisters.

I'm given to understand that Bing wasn't a very nice man, but my mom loved him.

Robert E. Lee was a southerner and he did NOT commit treason.

Lincoln broke all the rules as well.

Perry Como was inspired by Bing so I'm saying good afternoon with a funny song as Al Jolson broke all the rules as well.

Good having England with us, and Texas of course. Smile

I always ignore statements about how bad a dead person was, if they waited until the person died to say it. True or false, I don't listen.

As true now as then, as always puns rule.

Good morning from a sunny day here in our Florida radio station.

Tsar, Bloody Well Right by Super Tramp was great. Thanks, my long time friend.

edgar/mark Love that version of Stand By Me. I know it by by Ben E. King as well. We won't play True or False games then. Smile

Hurry back punch man. Love your play on words. They are punny. Smile

Today is Bruce Willis' birthday, so here is a tribute to the man, and the trailer to The Sixth Sense. (that movie was truly odd and a bit scary)

How about some fun for the late afternoon here. Even my German friends Willie and Wilfred thought this was funny:

Well, it looks as though I'm locked in my cage again. Music is healing, however:

Today is Glenn Close's birthday, and I watched the movie because it had to do with psychology. Will play it later, however.

Maybe Pat can persuade our music lovers to come here:

as edgar/Mark knows I did used to like him, but his intonation if fabulous.

Hey, edgar/Mark. What I tell you three times is true. Smile

I decided not to do Glen Close's Fatal Attraction, because it's rather depressing.

Saying good afternoon with three songs:

First, Judy and her clowns:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L6KGuTr9TI

Now, Enrico Caruso's clown:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XujudRc_uk

Now, a serenade from Allan Jones.

As our creator knows, I like the originals.

"Send in the Clowns" is one of my all-time favorites, even before I
understood the circus reference.

I was busy retiring today. But, believe it or not, I checked out everybody's music of the day, since I got home. Lots of my favorite music here.

Now that I am retired, I will need this more than ever

We've had quite a sunny May this year, not so in 1887.

Good morning to all from our Florida radio station. I was a bit under the weather here and it's because of the column of heaviness that bears down, I think. Other things bring on my feeling ill as well.

Thanks to my long time friend, Latin George, I feel a bit better, and his Double Trouble and Bo songs do help.

Izz, Your weather is much like ours here. May and December are thoughts to remember, my friend.

Tsar, Annie's Down Town Lights was great.

edgar/Mark, I understand why you played Jerry Lee's Money. Glad that I retired early, dear friend

Two songs to begin our day.

First, a birthday gal Cher, but I remember her best with Sonny. I loved dancing to this one so long ago:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfbmjUQOFxs

I think Al Jolson sang Sonny Boy for Sonny. Guess we'll never know about his death.

Mow, a birthday guy:

Jimmy Stewart:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEH_EzDz1x0

Hope I didn't miss any one, and glad that our Creator listen to all of my contributions.

letty, I liked Sonny and Cher best when they were together.
Jimmy Stewart played so many varied roles in his career - did pretty well in all of them.

Mark/dear friend, thanks for your comment on Sonny and Cher and that classical music behind Jimmy's tribute was fantastic.

Oops, that should have been NOW, folks.

Love T. Texas Tyler doing Just a Bummin' Around.

Jimmy didn't do too well in Vertigo because he was a villain. It didn't do well at the box office either.

Here's one to match Annie's Downtown. Billy Joel is one fantastic performer:

I still think Al meant this for Sonny, y'all.
