No, but I read "I'll Cry Tomorrow" by Lillian Roth who drank herself into hell. It's a wonder she survived. The movie with Susan Hayward was done pretty well, but with most movies it left out too much of her story.
At one point when she was at the top of her career, she was admired, wealthy, and doing well in shows and movies - making good money.
When she hit bottom, she didn't even have enough money to buy liquor.
After her recovery with AA, she goes on a tour to Australia, and ends up saving many drunks lives.
An amazing true story.
