chinese birth years, zodiac signs anyone?

Alright, I have officially given up on trying to
reload my old avatar of the flowing waterfall
it WILL NOT WORK!! So, now I have decided
on the TIGER, since that is my Chinese Zodiac
sign anyway. Anyone else around who knows
what their sign is who would like to jump in and
yak? The year of the tiger, by the way would
include anyone born in the years:
1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986
and most recently 1998.
We are sensitive individuals, capable of being most
sympathetic BUT also a bit on the short tempered side.
We get along splendidly with The Horse, The Dragon and
The Dog,

The Year of the Rabbit

http://www.c-c-c.org/chineseculture/zodiac/imgzodiac/irabbit.gif

1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999

People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. Rabbit people seldom lose their temper. They are clever at business and being conscientious, never back out of a contract. They would make good gamblers for they have the uncanny gift of choosing the right thing. However, they seldom gamble, as they are conservative and wise. They are most compatible with those born in the years of the Sheep, Pig, and Dog

I should note the following about those attributes I feel qualified to remark upon:

articulate: nope
ambitious: well, I'm doing this all day today, aren't I?
virtuous: er...
reserved: more or less.
financially lucky: ha! lucky for my creditors...
tactful: nope.
seldom lose their temper: er, does driving count toward this? i'm the king of the tantrum at work, as well, though it generally doesn't linger.
good gamblers, but seldom gamble: hey, this one's actually true!

hello patio, seldom lose your temper, eh?
It seems that you have one of my traits which
I used to lack completely. No temper at all.
Of course, all this has changed now. As I get older,
I become more of the real me, or the me I may
have been destined to be at birth, but it just never
happened due to many things out of my control. I
get more taken with the occassional fit of anger now,
but usually only amongst those I love most, which
is too bad, yet these are the ones whom we trust
the most of all, and therefore do not mind letting
them see us at our very worst. Now, driving - is one
area where I very seldom lose my cool....assuming
no one scares me to death on the highway. Even when
I had a daily commute of over 1 &1/2 hours, I still
was always fairly mellow on the road.

Dyslexia - a genius in our midst here according
to your sign. Are you also one of those persons with
a great memory, clever, skillful & an easy temper but
you cool off very quickly, but can make yourself fit in
anywhere?

Somewhere I must find where there is the
list of other signs which you should avoid due
to certain conflict if you become friends. In
addition to telling you which signs you ARE
compatible with, there is also a list of those
signs you are not compatible with.

PATIO - Albert Einstein was a RABBIT! Good
Grief ... imagine what the future might hold
for you. Confucious and Queen Victoria
were rabbits also. You are in distinguished
company, it would appear.

I'm a monkey too! Another reason gezzy and I get along well - you're a dragon.

Did you know, or have you heard anyway, that each of the 12 chinese zodiacs are broken down into groups as well? There are several (not sure how many) different types of monkeys for example, I'm a "lonely" monkey .... sigh.

Got to be careful with a list like that Gezzy, the Chinese new year is at a different time than ours and so, often, people born in the first part of our calendar are in the previous year's scope.

Babs, I'm also the tiger. My husband is the sheep - however, I don't think he's a typical sheep. And we get along fine!

Ooh, a dragon! That's supposed to be a Big Deal. The sozlet is one.

I'm a dog:

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people's confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

Perty good. Dunno about selfish, but certainly stubborn. Eccentric? Could be, could be.

Quinn, are you thinking of horoscope signs or
zodiac signs? Based on the year of your birth
you could be one of 12 animals, but the sheep
or the ram is not one of them. What year were
you born, and we can fill you in on your chinese
zodiac sign.

Horse, dragon and dog, THESE are the
other zodiac ones I supposedly get
along with best. I should check out
my friends to see how much of this
is true. I have been in successful
relationship with a dragon for 15 years.
That ought to prove something, for me
to get along with anyone for that long.
(well, in such a confined type of a
relationship, especially)
