When you stir up trouble.

Someone who does that is called a stirrer.

"Are you stirring things again?".


Psyching in the motivational context means to get a person or a team mentally worked up, so you could possibly use the word work, but that could have other meanings.

Psyche is pretty normal for your performance context.
