My guess is that Lightning Speed is adware. I've never heard of it before. You might have a virus - and that has nothing, really, to do with Facebook.

Run a virus scan and go to an earlier restore point and see if that helps (it won't necessarily, but it's a start, and a virus scan never hurts).

PS Because this is happening/not happening at school, is this software required by your school, by chance? Because if it is (possibly to prevent you from seeing over 18 sites), good luck on disabling it.
