I read a introduction to Spinoza and found a very interesting statement on the destruction of society as a consequence of people trying to protect others peoples feelings by not confronting each other.
I have now gone through this book several times and I cant find it again.
Can anyone help me find the statement or book reference?
Thank you.
Espen
@Espen,
Copy the title of your thread you just started, copy it into a Google search.
You'll find several references to what you are looking for in books that have been scanned by Google.
Stupid me!
And I thought Spinoza was a cold symptom . . .

Or a cure to modern thought.
@Ding an Sich,
Baruch Spinoza. Only one of the most cogent thinkers of all time on the subject of religious consciousness. Have a little respect, boys.
