Messenger App Location Services?

I just updated to ios8 and installed the latest Messenger App for ios8. I also made sure to turn my location services on in settings, but when I go to type a message, when I hit the location arrow, it does nothing. Usually it would turn blue and give my location, but it's not. Is anyone having the same issue?
