I am under obamacare medi-cal blue cross and was told everything was free to me cause the doctors agreed to the payments from Blue Cross. But ehrn I went to a new doctor the doctor had me sign something that said no matter what the insurance I would have to pay for anything the doctor didn't get in their usual charges. I thought this wasn't allowed. So now I don't want to see the doctor anymore. Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

The government is now dictating what your medical coverage will be.

The Dr. is just covering his butt.

@fordaisy,
Report back to Blue Cross about the experience. This is the whole point of the Affordable Care Act, to make medical care affordable and to protect us from price gouging by insurance companies and medical providers.

You also aren't stuck with just that doctor. When you talk to the Blue Cross folks, tell them you want a list of other doctors in that medical field so you can select another one.
