What does it mean when a Birth certificate says this?

My Birth Certificate has a black line under the information, and under it it states "Any amendment made prior to (the date) is not noted". Does this mean anything? And if so, what?

Generally amendments are made to correct errors, e. g. if your mother's name was misspelled.
