I don't believe that's a legitimate fact. However, a law in Pennsylvania that would have made consumption of cats and dogs illegal was shot down with NRA funding.

I don't understand why the NRA should care. Nobody goes out hunting cats and/or dogs with guns. That I know of. But shooting down a proposed law like that, I think, is a good idea. I mean, how is a cat or dog different from, say, a lamb or calf or piglet?

It has something to do with the clause in the bill regarding the limiting or possible banning of the hunting of pigeons. The assholes claim that it would lead to some kind of slippery slope event where hunting and shooting of any kind could be limited only to special limited gun ranges.

Just pass a version of the bill that doesn't impact pigeon hunters.
