Group Claims Responsibility for Killing Senior Iraqi Official

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - A previously unknown group claimed responsibility Monday for killing the current Iraqi Governing Council president, saying in a Web site posting that two of its fighters carried out the operation that lead to the death of "the traitor and mercenary Izzadine Saleem."
The claim from a group identifying itself as the Arab Resistance Movement was posted on an Internet site devoted to Iraqi issues.
The Web site carried other messages of praise for the killing.
