I think that it makes sense that the determining factor in human behavior is passion.

What is passion?
Ambition, desire, adoration, greed, lust.
I believe 'desire' encompasses' all of the above - Thus is the fundamental drive behind our actions. And what we desire is subjective.
I only desire one thing - an absence from pain - For therein lies pleasure.
