As you all know, I am not in the least pedantic, Razz however, I have three comments to make about the last two preceding posts:

1 - what do x-rays have to do with the weather? Or is it that you have one to see whether you've broken a bone? Laughing

2 - 'Y' comes after 'X', and

3 - zebra, zephalump, zion? Has someone perhaps opened a second, equally obtuse, account with A2K using a different username?

Lezzles as I posted "x-rays" I am accountable for its authenticity. You should now by now I have an answer for all my postings, should I be queried, which I have been on several occasions on the threads and per pm's. Admittedly there have been borderline decisions but I was always able to prove it was done in all sincerity. Laughing

Coming to your query, I can tell you I got the answer from an URL that deals with weather terminology, and here is the entry:

X-RAYS
The portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that has a very short wave length. It has a wave length longer than gamma rays, yet shorter than visible light. X-rays can penetrate various thicknesses of all solids, and when absorbed by a gas, can result in ionization.

I rest my case. Very Happy
