Tagliavinni, Ferrucio (loved that guy)
Upshaw, Dawn
I don't know Ferruccio -- I'll have to see if the NYPL has any of his recordings.)
I have a CD of Tagliavinni, (Recital 1941-1950) but the sound quality is not too good. I have a record, my first full opera recording, of him performing Werther. I saw him in La Boheme. The usher told my mother and me to go to the top balcony (we had excellent Mezzanine seats) so we could appreciate his voice more fully. He didn't let us down. I still get chills thinking about it. (lol) I've always wanted to see an opera at the Met.
Vespasiani, Ambra
Warren, Leonard (who died onstage at the Met, during a performance of La Forza del Destino)
I'd be surprised if there's an "X" (unless you count all the "X-Large" opera singers), so we can go straight on to "Y," unless some clever A2Ker comes up with someone I haven't thought of.
