drom - I'm entirely too familiar with Christmas Carol (having worked on at least a dozen versions of the play) but I love Great Expectations and Oliver Twist. I've read Little Dorrit and Tale of 2 Cities and Drood and a couple of others...

A Christmas Carol is the only Dickens story that had made a widespread crossover into acted drama, isn't it? I remember once seeing an acted version of Barnaby Rudge, which was not too shabby.

Which of the others that you have not read do you think is at the top of your list to read?
