I always wondered how Roger Miller had the balls to sing about England, what with his accent.

Seattle has what may be the most expensive public works project ever stuck underneath the city.

But hey. We also have

@neologist,
Nice image - for one season win. LOL
SF 49ers = 5 superbowls. Seattle Seahawks = 1 superbowl; and they now think they're Superman!

But the 49ers have been around a little longer. 1849, right? You remember, don't you? Laughing

@neologist,
Length of time any team has played in US football isn't a measurement.
Quote:
The four current teams that have never been to a Super Bowl are Cleveland, Jacksonville, Detroit and Houston.

Also, the Bears, Chiefs, Saints, and Rams are old teams that have won only 1 superbowl.

Right now I'm trapped in Evansville, Indiana. Considered the US's most obese city.

Evansville is so fat that Toronto's Mayor Bob Ford says he will move to Evansville if he loses in his re-election bid.

BTW if Ford does move to Evansville from Toronto the average citizenry weight will decrease and the average citizenry intelligence will increase in both cities.

@izzythepush,
I was able to visit the museum in Halifax where they have some of the articles and stories about the Titanic, and the cemetery where most of the victims are buried.
I'll also be able to visit the Titanic displays in Belfast in September.

We live in Sunnyvale, CA, the heart of Silicon Valley. Our population is a bit over 140,000 with the majority being Asians (over 40%). When we moved here in the mid-seventies, we were the only Asian family in our area. Now, many of our neighbors are Asian.

We have a moderate climate with lows in the 40's and highs over 100 degrees, but it's never that hot inside our home. We use our central air about one week out of the year. Otherwise, a floor fan does the trick. Our greatest benefit is the high tech industry that has kept our economy pretty strong, but home prices in our ZIP code have escalated too quickly.

My wife loves it here, because of the climate, the safety of our community with good schools, good government (many local, state, and federal government reps have visited our city to learn how it's run), close to our friends and family, and we're close to the ocean, San Francisco and the Napa wine country, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains - all within a four hour drive. My wife volunteers at the Kaiser Hospital a block from where we live, and she also volunteers at the public library.

We're planning on staying in this area after we move to a retirement community in a few years.

Aren't you all falling into the sea, though?

And in one year they've managed to become the most reviled team in the NFL aside from the Dallas Cowboys.
