"My first is in Samuel and also in mash. My next is in crush but never in crash. My third and my fourth are in timeless and tie. My fifth is not in dying but is always in die. My last is in first and my first is in last. A guy with a scheme got rich very fast."

I can only assume the one who sued. I may be wrong, but it's a start.

"Suits" works, as does "sue it"... The guy could be the one who brought the suit, I suppose, if this is the right idea.

and some who are not the least bit clever, such as i who am stuck at:

1: s or a
2: u
3: t or i
4: i or t
5: i or e

er, that would be 'sutie', or 'sutii',or 'suiii', or 'suite', or ',autie', or 'sutee', or 'autee'.

none of which seems 'sutieeble'! except perhaps suite?

The answer is vowels, the last line
is just to make the riddle rhyme.
A is in SAmuel and mAsh
U is in crUsh, but never crash
I and E are in tIE and tImElEss
Wait, maybe not, I can't find O anywhere,
Woe is me Embarrassed
