I know that Aristotle wrote a lot about definitions; their importance, how to formulate them and more.
Where exactly in his works can I find what he wrote on definition?

Thank you very much

@timur,
Thank you sincerely. I've seen this before and I don't find the sources.

I'm looking for Aristotle's original work on definition.

@Ragman,
Sorry let me be clearer: translations of Aristotle's writings on definition.
Where in the writings of Aristotle does he speak about definitions?
Like his rules on how to formulate good definitions. (genus and differentia, defiendum cannot appear in the definition, etc)

@Mix,
I gave you a link but you didn't read it:

Quote:
Aristotle's theory of definition is expounded in a group of statements throughout many of his works.

So, you want me to give you a list of Aristotle's works?

I believe you can find it by yourself..

@timur,
I looked at it but I checked it for a complete bibliography (with name of translations) and didn't pay attention to the abbreviations.
On second look however, I see how they suffice:

Top=Topics
Cat=Categories
An.post.=Analytics posterior
Met.=Metaphysics

So it's a good link and I thank you again for posting it.
