@Walter Hinteler,
What I love about Germany is their ability to maintain their infrastructure. Even at places where they have experienced disaster, they pick up and rebuild their buildings and whatever else needs repair.

The houses on Pont Nothre-Dame in Paris were the first in the world to get house numbers. That was 1512
The old wooden bridge had fallen apart and a new bridge in stone was buildt. The 68 identical apartments got numbers to keep them apart

Entitled 'Tunnel Vision' - another type of tunnel perhaps! A Hong Kong tram.

@saab,
That's the Canal Saint-Martin, in 10th (and 11th) arrondissement of Paris, my one and all favourite part of Paris. (Paris is wonderful everywhere in the early morning, but strolling around there is best)

@Walter Hinteler,
Thank you - I had no idea where is was taken. At the moment I am interested in Paris as I was there for Easter.
Too crowded most places, but still possible to find a corner which was not too full of tourists.

@saab,
The Canal St. Martin IS very touristic. That's why I liked it more in the early morning. (When I had been there about 40 years ago for the first time, it was something like an "insider tip". But now ...)

I totally forgot that I see a bridge from our sitting room. (The spots are raindrops on the window - we just had had a short but heavy thunderstorm)

(On the left, that's an "insects hotel")

That small (salty) stream was piped under the surface until recently. It now got its natural bed back again (unfortunately, only for a few hundred meters inside the park.)

Just minutes before I took those photos above, lightning stroke a tree some hundred meters away.

@Walter Hinteler,

Metres, Walt, we spell it the French way.

A meter for electricity is a different thing.

You're welcome.
