Here's a simple music thread about "traveling" music. Let's take the backroads least traveled paths are the best. Let's concentrate on lesser known songs and artists.
Example:
Nanci Griffith & Adam Duritz - Going Back to Georgia

The first thing that popped into my head is "Take me back to Tulsa (I'm too young to marry)"

This one is the first track on the CD we put in when we start our return journey.
It's been a good holiday, but now it's over and there's just the long drive home.
We usually start out at 5am when there's no-one else around, and a 12 hour drive up through France lies ahead.......

I guessed that the song's inclusion in last year's incredible Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) was a cover (Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan and Stark Sands). Didn't know how well traveled the song was:

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Quote:
It has also been recorded by the Brothers Four, Sonny & Cher, Johnny Rivers, Alexander Rybak, The Hooters, Reba McEntire, Jackie DeShannon, The Seekers, Elvis Presley, The Highwaymen, The Seldom Scene, Nick Cave, Richard Anthony, Franco Battiato, Rosanne Cash, Bad Astronaut, Peter and Gordon, Eric Bibb, Hootenanny Singers, the innocence mission, Joan Baez, Takako Matsu, Justin Timberlake, The Persuasions and many others.[9] In an episode of Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Jim Nabors, in the title role, sang the song to character Lou-Ann Poovie, played by Elizabeth MacRae, resulting in Lou-Ann choosing Gomer as her boyfriend. Recently, the song has been recorded by Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan and Stark Sands for the soundtrack of the film Inside Llewyn Davis. The soundtrack was released on November 11, 2013. [10]

@chai2,
That's a REALLY dangerous song to be playing in a car Chai when driving on a highway. Too much adrenaline kicking in and the gas pedal will soon go unnoticed and pushed all the way down to the floor! Shocked

@tsarstepan,
No ****.

Before I moved in with Wally, there was a few month period that I left directly from work on Fridays from ******* Okeechobee Fl and drove to around Ft Lauderdale for the weekend. Long stretch of road from Okeechobee to I-95 + Radar Love = How the hell am I alive.
