Hi. I have a rainsoft gold neutralizer that completes regeneration but it keeps backwashing water. Seems like a valve is stuck or something. Any thoughts? Is this something a diy guy can handle? Thanks for any suggestions.

@davidb,
Could be a broken piston or seals and spacers are bad inside the valve body. Could also be a broken drive cam which i would not recommend trying to replace the drive cam on your own if not done correctly it could further damage the system.

@davidb,
We were notified by Brunswick Water Company that we used 700 Gallons of water between 7:00pm - 7:00am. Rainsoft Tech came to check system. After changing a few washers he said it wasn’t the Rainsoft. He did find a bent u ring.
BTW we had a tech check system in July due to water spirts in the toilets and sinks. Water usage is back to normal after Rainsoft Tech left. @$150.00
Obviously it was the Rainsoft System.
