I think it's between the developed vs undeveloped countries. However, even within a developing country, the majority may still be living "behind the times." The two biggest countries in the world, India and China, have the extremes in wealth and poverty. Luxembourg is a relatively small country, but the majority lives a very high standard of life. According to some research, they have found that the people of Denmark are the "happiest in the world."
