Dear All,
I am struggling to solve this problem. The problem is:In Pool A, I have a probability of 0.66 to be selected. If I am not selected in Pool A, I will become part of pool B, where I have a probability of selection of 0.72. And this always happen in sequence. First I will be considered for Pool A and then Pool B. What is my true probability of final selection either from group A or group B? My aim is to get selected through any one of the groups. What is the logic behind this?

@kums20,
0.66 + (1 - 0.66) * 0.72

It's the probability of being selected in Pool A
plus
the probability of not being selected in Pool A times the probability of being selected in Pool B.
