Water in tank after regen cycle completes

I just had an upgrade to my broken rainsoft water softener to their EC4. Now the tank seems to hold roughly 4-5 inches of water after the regeneration cycle completes. Isn't the tank supposed to be completely empty?

@nbstl68,
No one?

I'm pretty sure, no matter what brand softener, when the regeneration cycle is completed there should not be any water left in the brine tank, much less 4 inches sitting giving the salt a bath until the next regen cycle.
I assume something is not drawing properly but was hoping to confirm with a professional before paying for a service call.

Any input would be appreciated.

@nbstl68,
Some softers make brine after regenerating for the next regen, so in that case it would be normal.
Don't know about your type though .
